Agave Canyons Ranch is a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Managed Lands Deer (MLD) permit holder, allowing Whitetail deer hunts from October to February. We are passionate about involving youth in hunting and encourage Youth hunts during specified TPWD dates.

Whitetail Deer
Our trophy Whitetail breeder deer are sourced from a highly knowledgeable and respected Texas breeder, White Ghost Ranch. With years of selective breeding, meticulous attention to health and wellness, and a passion for the process, we can now offer trophy deer worthy of any hunter’s ambition.

Native Whitetail Deer
Our native Whitetail deer thrive thanks to our comprehensive feeding program, consistently developing and prospering under our watch.

Axis Deer
Axis deer, with their unique chestnut-spotted hides, are one of the most beautiful breeds. Native to India and introduced to Texas in the 1930s, they have made this canyon country their home. We offer year-round Axis hunts, with the best time for hard antlers being from May to August. Axis venison is also known for its exceptional taste.

Fallow Deer
Originally from Eurasia and brought to Texas in the early 1900s, Fallow deer are the only deer to grow palmate antlers. The best hunts for antlers occur from September to December. Fallow deer come in color variations including white, chocolate, and spotted.

Blackbuck
Native to India and Pakistan, Blackbuck thrive in our desert canyon area. They can be hunted year-round. The males' coats darken with age, and their continuously growing horns make older males more desirable.

Scimitar Oryx
Native to North Africa, Scimitar Oryx are beautiful and resilient antelope that flourish in our desert canyons. Both males and females grow horns from birth, which can exceed 40 inches in length. These animals, weighing up to 350 lbs, provide a challenging hunt.

Aoudad Sheep
Classified as both a sheep and a goat, Aoudad sheep originate from North Africa. They are intelligent, possess keen senses, and are highly elusive. They have adapted well to the Texas mountain and desert regions.

Feral Hogs / Coyotes / Bobcat
To manage their populations, we actively encourage hunts for feral hogs, coyotes, and other predators.
